Why Was AlertCard Created?

AlertCard was created as a way to help manage Emergency Medical Situations where the card holder is unconscious or otherwise unable to respond to questions from First Responders and Emergency Room Personnel.

Who Is AlertCard For?

AlertCard was created for Seniors and those with Chronic Health Conditions but it can be used by anyone. Sean Bennick, one of the Co Founders, created the first version of the wallet card when he started having seizures. Once he realized it could benefit others he called Derek Wood, the other Co Founder, who is a Registered Nurse that happened to be working as a Home Health Nurse at the time. Derek had been working on setting up a standardized packet for his clients to do the same thing.

Why did you focus on a paper product?

AlertGem is an Online Personal Health Record App, but after asking First Responders and ER Staff we realized that many of them would rather use a paper product or are limited by their employer and cyber security issues about what they can do. So we made a system that included a PDF output and found a waterproof, rip-proof, anti-microbial paper that would meet our requirements

– Our servers are located in the United Stated for additional protection.
